A lease of life.

Four kicks began life as a four piece from the flatlands of Bury St Edmunds with a shared passion for eclectic rock music. With influences spanning from jazz to blues rock, a band of teenagers set out to craft a set of songs in defiance of conventional popularity - kicking back against self-indulgent ‘scene rock’ to deliver hard-hitting rock of different colours and shades.

That was then. This is now. With the music industry long since dead and day jobs in full swing, the artefacts of that time were only discovered when the time spent ‘wfh’ conjured up an old hard drive and the old songs were re-discovered. Once feared lost, the best songs from the collection were released namely for posterity, but also shameless self-promotion. They are simply too good to waste.

The album ‘Nelson Road ‘ is a patchwork of the releases from this time, and is a homage to where the band once played. Now, Four Kicks can be enjoyed at home on Apple Music and Spotify - each stream working its way to buying all four members a share of a whole pint.

And so, the band lives once more - once again kicking back against morose music of a different kind, providing a viable alternative in a different time.
